Halsted Tastes Better Poster

This historical pastiche takes its cues from several sources. The Art Deco form of the famous Northalsted pylons that line the street lent itself to a poster with a 1930’s ambiance. French wine posters contributed as well, as the event was to be themed around Bastille Day. Blended together with WWI-style victory posters and a light, whimsical air, this poster is a sophisticated homage to the restaurants and class of one of Lakeview’s favorite summer events.
